  • Recorded at 7.5 inches per second. Quarter-track stereo. Both tape reel and box packaged in protective plastic pouch. Reel comes in a beautiful shade of doo doo-brown. Due to heavy backlog of orders, it may take 6-8 weeks to make and mail out tape. But hopefully sooner!

    original 2005 notes:

"recorded in 2003 and jan/feb 2005. the 2005 material was done at me and my wife's brooklyn apartment right before a month long march tour to texas and back. (she and our two roommates weren't pleased with the repetitive noise). a last minute effort, i left on tour without any cd copies or artwork. thought i'd get a spindle of cds and dupe them at somebody's house after a show. called my friend mike gergye on the way to baltimore. he said we could stay there and dupe cds, ect. he ended up mastering my mixes and printing artwork on cd envelopes in addition to duping cds all night. what a guy! the artwork was made during a game of cranium. i was asked to draw a toilet with my eyes closed. hung onto it thinking i'd use it for something someday."

    2020 notes:

I've gone back and corrected some issues with the original stereo mix. Raised the volume on all tracks (it was pseudo-mastered to -3db peak), snipped off a lot of silence at the beginning and ends of most tracks for better flow, added some effects in a couple places that seemed a little dry, and corrected some digital glitching on That Much Lighter that isn't on my original mixdown but somehow made it onto the master mix. Additionally, I included 4 bonus songs that were recorded around the same time but not on the original release. One of them, Snugglebug, was written for my wife as a gift at the largest scale one of our 4 weddings (we eloped originally, so later ceremonies were held for different family/personal reasons. This one a year and a half later.)

Originally released in March 2005 on CD-R, then in fall 2005 through Thick Syrup Records on CD and digital download.
